SMARTER DRIVER COVID-19 Safeguarding Terms and Conditions 2.0

Between you and the instructor. 

 

Introduction

While the COVID-19 virus remains a threat it will be necessary to abide by the following Terms & Conditions. The following Terms & Conditions are designed to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus while driver training is being conducted. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that may lead to severe illness and even death in some cases. SD and the instructor will do their upmost in order to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Due to the close nature of the training environment we unable to guarantee you will not be effected by COVID-19 during your training sessions

 

1. ACCEPTING FULL RESPONSIBILITY SHOULD THE STUDENT OR A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER BECOME INFECTED BY COVID-19

By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions the student is accepting full responsibility (except where we have been negligent) for any loss, cost or any expenses you may occur should you contract COVID-19 or pass it on as a result of attending driver training sessions with the instructor or SD and there will not take any action against the intstructor or SD to recover any loss or financial cost/ and, or expense.

 2. ARE YOU OR A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER PARTICUALY VULNERABLE?

The student should consider whether they or a household member may be vulerable to COVID-19.If the student or any persons the student are likely to be in contact with, or at risk of serious illness as a result of contracting COVID-19, then please consider carefully whether now is a good time to be attending driver training sessions with SD.

3. REPORT IT

The student must let SD know immediately if they or any household members have been exposed to anyone showing symptoms, or anyone who has tested positive by ANY COVID-19 test.No charges will be applied to any driver training sessions due to this. No DRIVING TEST BOOKINGS with short notice cancellations for this reason either.

 

4. ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS TRUTHFULLY

The student should be prepared to answer any questions truthfully. The instructor might ask questions regarding symptoms and potential exposure to COVID-19.The instructor may also ask about other members of the household and any potential risk to exposure of COVID-19.There will be no charge to the student if I suspect they may have symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (as reported by the NHS). SD and the instructor will reserve the right to charge any postponed training sessions should we discover you could have given information much sooner regarding matters concerning COVID-19.

 

5. RECIPROCAL INFORMATIOIN FROM THE INSTRUCTOR

SD and/ or the instructor will inform you about the following:a) Any risk of being exposed to a serious risk of contracting COVID-19 orb) tested positive for COVID-19 orc) exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 infection or d) been advised to self-isolate.If this is the case we may need to postpone your driver training and/ or DRIVING TEST BOOKING and the instructor to self-isolate in accordance to the latest government guidelines. If this happens all driver training sessions booked will be carried forward until they are able to resume again.

 

 6. THE WEARING OF FACE MASKSYou will be required to wear a face mask at all times, unless except (with proof) then this will be at the discretion of the instructor.You mustering your own face mask. Face masks are usually not provided by SD, but if one is made available then you will be charged £2..00 to recover the cost.should insufficient notice be given and you turn up for a lesson without a suitable face covering or mask SD also reserve the right to postpone and charge for the lesson.

 

7. HAND WASHING

If at all possible, please wash your hands and face thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds immediately prior to attending a driver training session.. The student will be required to sanitise/wash your hands prior to entering the training vehicle.If for medical reasons this isn't possible thern you may be required to wear gloves

 

.8 EXCESS OBJECTS

Please avoid bringing any excess objects with you if possible. 

 

9. BANK TRANSFERS ONLY

All payments for driver training MUST be via bank transfer 48 hours prior to the driver training session appointment.Cash is no longer accepted, unless by special arrangement.If you do bring cash, make sure it is the precise amount that is needed to pay for the lesson or lessons you want to purchase. I will ask you to drop it into a bag or container that I will keep for this purpose.

10. TRAINING VEHICLE VENTILATION 

The training vehicle will be ventilated as much as possible with the windows being partially open, weather and safety permitting.Briefings may take place outside the training vehicle where possible.
